In 1999 I started working for an upstart cell company and cold calling was the best way to book appointments. Our training consisted of listening to audio tapes by Steve Schiffman, who sounds a lot like Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny… Pesci is also a good image as you’re listening to the tapes.
The cold calling techniques are simple and easy to practice… best of all they work, we did very well in the market and were eventually taken over by a bigger telcom.
